About

Hello everyone!

Thank you for stopping by Kawaii Tales! If you’re wondering about the person behind this blog well, you’re in the right place.

My name is Athila & I’m from and currently living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m also married and a mother to a 2-year old boy. As you might have read on my front page, I love kawaii things, otome games, anime, manga, Japanese stationeries and everything Japanese.

This blog is basically how I share my passion with everyone on all-things Japanese that caught my attention. My interest in all-things Japanese began when I was 10years old after I was introduced to Japan by my mum who worked with a Japanese company & my best friend who is a Japanese. Right now I have a full-time job so I’m doing this on the side cos my passion is growing and I have no avenue to share it >.<”

Even though right now I’m doing this to share my passion but I aspire to one day be able to do a freelance job related to this anime/manga/Japanese language translation/culture. So from now on, I’m gonna start working hard to build my portfolio but at the same time I will also continue to share what I love. I’m also currently learning the Japanese language and will be taking my first JLPT exam this coming July 2018. But my informal experience with the language started wayyy back. I know how to read hiragana, katakana and a handful of kanji and I consider myself in an intermediate level at learning Japanese.

Anyways, that’s it about me. Feel free to drop me a line at mykawaiitales (at) gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to do collaborations, offer me a writing stint (crossing my fingers!!) or anything at all. Alternatively, if you like my content and would like to support me in some way, I’d appreciate it if you could buy me coffee cos even though I have full-time job right now, I still don’t make enough to sustain my passion and I hope to start my move towards becoming a freelancer as soon as I can. Every dollar counts so I thank you in advance for supporting my passion and my dream to be a freelancer.

Thank you soo much & hope to see you around!

Lots of love, Kawaii Tales
